24,962 lines translated from the original Japanese script: story and dialogue (17,808), battle dialogue (1,595), menus, items, abilities and enemies (3,956), places and PC menus (868) and Help (735), plus the title screen, airship map, Help pictures, Save/Load screen and the F1-F5 boost pop-ups. Arabic replaces the Japanese text of FINAL FANTASY X only; X-2 is untouched. SST Arabic is built into the game's own font. Built for Steam build 25501027.
How to install
- Close the game and its launcher.
- Run the installer.
- It finds your Steam install on its own; or pick the FINAL FANTASY FFX&FFX-2 HD Remaster folder manually.
- Click the install button.
- In the game launcher, set the language to Japanese (日本語) and save, then start FINAL FANTASY X.
Known issues
- Built for Steam build 25501027; after a game update, wait for a new version.
- The name-entry screen is garbled: keep the default names.
- A few images still show Japanese, including the "The End" screen.
- This is a beta: send a screenshot of any untranslated or overflowing text.
